Desert Recovery Training

Share with your friends!

Half a day of action and laughter, that would be the best description of the training today. All members had a chance to get stuck with their cars and to be pulled out, or vice versa. What did we actually learned? We learned procedure in case of desert stuck and many details about it. We also learned how to lead recovery procedure…

But first, we started with the equipment’s importance and explanation of usage some of the tools. We were talking about logic approach to recovery situations, self recovery and recovery execution procedures. All the members did an excellent job!
After a successful training we started a two hour, 30 km long drive through technical area where we had the opportunity to enjoy driving and conduct some recoveries. Great praise to all members because they showed the utmost seriousness during this training as it should be. Special thanks goes to Mike for a great deal.
All members who successfully completed this training will receive Desert Fellas Recovery badge in their profiles. I believe on our future trips we will have great support in case of recovery. Their acquired knowledge will be a big acquisition in that sense.
Thanks to everyone who participated, you made amazing work today and show lot’s of skills.

Good job Fellas and congrats for your new badge!!!

  5. This was a well organised event that was set out in a few parts:
    1. initial briefing with a lesson on recovery basics and principles.
    2. Hands on session of getting stuck, recovering and getting recovered.
    3. Debriefing with knowledge sharing from the members.
    4. The fun drive to finish off the morning!

For some drivers this was their first experience getting recovered or using their recovery gear, so I think it was a very good session.

Thank you Marko. Look forward to joining you in another round of this session series.
