Morning started with everyone arriving on time but slow to get deflated and ready for brief,  something to improve but we will get there.

The group was large, very large so we split into prospects and Jr or above.

Prospect drive.

With Luca as 2nd lead, Javier as sweeper and  Marshal Marko we briefed, set convoy order and got right into straight cresting practice increasing the lvl bit by bit. Once everyone was nicely warmed up we started the side sloping lesson.

This was the start of the fun. First, a bit of theory to prepare the started off low but not slow. After the prospects got the hang of it we continued with gthe good flow on hard sand.

Near the end of the trip we had a tyre pop out which was unfortunate and convoy got split up but sweeper managed to fix it in 8min and the convoy rejoined each other near the exit and moved together to inflation point behind schedule.

Quickly I briefed my First Lead was Sven and my Sweeper Pradeep what I needed from them on the drive and we all lined up.

We left the meeting area about7:10 am and began with very small side slopes and rolling flats. The sand was very firm, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to get warmed up and focused before we began the straight crests and side slopes.
As the drive progressed, we occupied most of our time side sloping and dodging other convoys, rocks, or gazelle that were out playing on the dunes. We never experienced any real difficult terrain, but we did get into some technical areas that required everyone to focus and all did great.
The drive was smooth and we didn’t experience any stucks. I di, however,r have a couple of second tries because I was straight cresting very slowly since there were numerous convoys in the area today. Everyone did an incredible job today and my support team ensured that the trip was a success.
