PARADISE CITY

New beginnings today for our recent graduates with plenty of excitement in the air as they geared up for the next chapter – off road paradise.

Tires deflated and a recap of the driving disciplines we started to get under way, the convoy quickly found a rhythm flowing through the dunes around pink rock with ease before tackling the climbing challenges. The sand, chewed up didn’t make for the most comfortable ride but a small price to pay when in 4×4 paradise.

Navigating our way through the convoys gathered at chefs bowl we made our passes but didn’t hang around as we had other dunes to glide through. The convoy accelerated, engines humming melodiously as we ascended, carefully making our way toward the dune formations behind Big Red.

Plenty of tracks combined with firm sand meant for some challenging driving conditions to stay on track. However, this did not discourage our team, which was adequately armed with the skills gained during basic training.

With only two self-recoveries carried out under Javiers expert eye we arrived ahead of schedule at our next waypoint where we were joined by our fellow off-roader convoy. A perfect opportunity for our new graduates to get to know our fellow members and the wider community whilst taking a moment to take in the scenery.

Refueled and re-energized, we got straight to work climbing up to the top of the dune that had been watching over us during the break. Passing the tourist safari vehicles parked at the summit, we acknowledged them with a tip of the cap, a swift thumbs up, and, of course, a flurry of sand as we descended back down, making our way toward the exit for some refreshments.

Matthew and Richard welcome to desert fellas! you were superstars today and look forward to seeing your development. Also, a big shout out to the whole team, we drove as one today.
