La La Land
The sunrise greeted us on this warm but slightly less humid morning for the La La Land drive.
The desert was eerily quite in Badyer which was quite welcoming for a change as usally it can be very busy with many other convoys around.
Our convoy was small and meant that we could maneuver freely around the bowls for multiple passes and taking full advantage of the side slopes, sharp turn and crests.
After an hour we reached Iftar bowl which was empty but with many bumpy tracks so after a few passes we headed off to other peaks looking for more pristine crests.
Once reaching Super bowl we were supprised to find another convoy in the bowl but the crests were fresh and sharper than I have ever seen before, this must of been a result of a combination of high winds and many off roaders being out of country on leave. This was a real treat to put some fresh tracks on the crests in the area and having softer sands than usual here, though it did make it more challenging to climb and taking the right lines and momentum made it look effortless to climb to the top.
We had a fun filled morning of cresting and climbing and exited our drive right on time. Thanks for a great drive Anders and looking forward to the next.
