The day started nice and early a bit windy but not too hot. Some fellas couldn’t join us last minute but thanks for letting us know.

After briefing we made convoy order and new challenges for the members. 2nd lead S1d, Mahmood, Javier, Angel and Preggy as recovery today. Convoy started moving at 6:05.

We explored a new route behind big red and was a lot of fun on the big dunes, but not before Angle and Preggy got to practice some recovery on me. Well done on a technical recovery.

We made our way to Pink Rock for nice side slopes and big hill climbs, followed by cresting and switching on big dunes towards the exit, finishing on time as planned @8:50.

S1d
Very good job today as 2nd lead and congratulations. We just need a little work on shapper coms but well done.

Mahmood
Great feeling for your car and was impressed, you know exactly when to respect gravity and have a lot of driving sence. Good job

Javier
Thanks brother you were flawless today.

Angel
Thanks for being my Anchor today, perfect drive, respect.

Preggy

Thanks ChefMark and Marko for organizing this trip, lots of fun, nice variety of crests, slopes rides, and nice recovery tips. Excellent timings also!!!! Whats next???

  4. Hi Guys
It was a fabulous morning to be in the sand. Briefing was very clear and up to the point. Convoy was lead exceptionally well. We had experienced all the moves to fancy On the dunes including the steep climb of pink rock. Apart for a single stuck and couple of 2nd tries, the drive was flawless.
As usual Marcos tips were always handy and chit chat with guys is always enjoyable.
Thanks Chef Marc and Marco for organizing the trip.

  5. Marc always a pleasure & honor to drive in your company. It was nicely paced with few breaks often that kept us pushing our rigs. The pink rock climbing was just awesome. See you all sooner once I’m back from a break. Thanks to other fellas too who kept the pace.

Glad you guys had fun, so upset to have missed this trip

  7. Beautiful morning, wonderful company and a great drive. The long side slope reminded me that although the FJ is lighter than the Prado, it’s still a heavy vehicle and so it needs a fair amount of encouragement to overcome the effects of gravity while trying to stick to the leader’s tracks. We all went much higher up the vertical climb than we did on our previous drive in this area and the entire convoy did a nice job of following Marc’s tracks over the crests. Sid, you’re a natural radio communicator. It won’t be long before you’re our second lead of choice 👍.
Thanks for a lekker drive Marc.

  8. I wish I was there! See you guys next weekend!
