Junior level 6 (AI 14) round 2
A later start than usual ment that Fellas were all early and well rested.
Even before we stated though 1 member from Junior level 6 (AI 14) didn’t make it because of vehicle issues, but the rest of us got off to a strong start and began climbing big dunes right away. The sweeper got a work out very early in the drive with one fella stuck in a tricky bowl. Not long after one more Fella had some issues with his car and the sweeper was able to take him out safely while the rest of the team carried on with the drive.
At one point the convoy had beautiful flow with only the occasional second try. Today everyone pushed harder and climed higher keeping up with the pace with much better following distance and radio comunications in genaral, this ment the convoy covered alot of distance in a shorter time than the last drive making it past Iftar bowl.
On our way to the exit we had a pop out and tricky stuck which was a tell tale sign of fatigue but sweeper was on form. We managed to all exit safely ahead of shedulel. This batch of Juniors has showed that our training is getter better with each generation and they can all be proud of their performance today. We will keep raising the bar and keep asking for more so keep pushing Fellas!
Thanks to supports Preggy, Zoubeir and Hussam. See you all soon.

One more time it was a pleasure driving with the best group. I learn lots in each ride and enjoyed as well. Can’t wait for the next. Thank to all the fellas and specially to Mark, Preggy, Zoubeir and Hussam. You are great!
It was a good day out in the sand. We managed to cover a lot of ground and made it to a further exit.
I enjoyed the drive and felt more confident in my training. Thanks a lot to Preggy for his mentoring. No 2 recoveries similar and we dealt with tricky ones on this trip.
Overall, we all exited the desert satisfied, tired but happy.
Thanks Marshal Marc for the planning, execution and bringing the team together; Hussam for good 2nd lead.
Looking forward to next weekend eagerly!
Definitely feeling that the pieces are coming together at last; some tricky sectors but we got there in the end. It really feels special when you can see other groups, and know what looks right and wrong – fighting gravity, over-confidence, spacing… its like the difference between watching a match as an armchair fan or a professional player!
The confidence is there, now I want to get the technique nailed to progress.
Much thanks to the team for this week, as the confidence grows so do the challenges. On to next week!
I truly appreciate the coaching on this one as it has helped me to see how to grow as desert driver.
