Junior level 3
Dawn was breaking and the desert was silent.
All Fellas on time this morning, but one had to cancel last minute due to puncture.
We move to the deflation point after a quick radio check then enjoyed the sunrise will deflating. The sand was a bit wet from some rain the previous night witch made the start interesting for many who had not experienced wet sand before.
The convoy practiced car and sharp turn control with some donuts, momentum, inertia and gravity in a technical area with low gears and I have say convoy moved with some amazing flow.
As the dunes got bigger we picked up the pace and had a few recoveries with a pop out near the end of the trip wich was very tricky because of being right at the botom of a small bowl. With a lot of digging it was fixed. At this point we were behind shedule but Fellas wanted to push on with some faster paced side slopes, this was a perfect way to build fondation for future trips.
Everyone exited safely and in very high spirits. Thanks to supportimg seniors for a great trip, Im very happy to see the great progress and dicipline from the convoy, keep it up Fellas!
See you all on the sand soon.

Thank you for an amazing drive today 🙂 Trips like this is always worth all the wait, when you counting days just for Friday to come faster!
Today was a nice mix of technical and high speed drive, which I enjoyed a lot.
I hope all the fellas who were dealing with a pop out are nice and safe, because it was an extremely hot outside when this happened. But you guys fixed it in no time !
So here I am sitting next to the pool with a cold beer reflecting on today’s drive. I was the best drive I have ever had in the desert! The flow of the convoy was smooth and felt organic. Very few stucks and second tries. It just goes to show how much we have learned under the guidance of chef Mark and the seniors!! I felt very comfortable behind the wheel today and got some good practice in of observing 2 cars ahaed and keeping a consistent safe driving distance! Tap-Tap tecnique feels better now after a bit more explanation by chef Mark!!
On to the next one. I cannot wait!!
I’ve never waited a notification before, now I turned on all of them because I don’t want to miss a drive.
I liked the early start, maybe it keeps us a bit energetic and fresh. I arrived and early birds were preparing delicious coffee ☕️ Merci Victor for inviting me.
I took those chances to listen to Marc’s feedback and advices every time we stoped for a break as I’m still learning and discovering my car.
And what I really like and appreciate the s those emails and feedbacks that we receive after every drive. Lots for constructive feedback to improve the drive style. I can’t wait for them.
One last thing I have to admit: I really like when ChefMarc told us about next drive objective and plane, means everything is well structured and organized. 👍🏻
Thanks a lot ChefMarc, Preggy and Gonzalo
A perfect mix in between a challenging technical area I start to like more and more and a high pace section where we were able to feel our cars in a.more subtle way. To learn and to commit is the key to progress 🙂 Looking forward to the next one !!
