Great to have an earlier start, now that curfew has ended.

All fellas on time except for one late comer, trip start time is driving time so please come early to get yourself ready.

After briefing and radio check we got moving. Convoy started off with  good flow in the warm up, but quickly had a pop out which sweep managed before we came to a small bite on technical area, with a few second tries and stucks which sweeper handled well. At the first break we had a briefing and exercise on finding steering wheel center.

Convoy moved to very technical area with high dunes, here we had many second atempts and was challanging for all but it is safe to say everyone learned alot about their cars, tyer presure and proper momentum. The dunes quickly opened up and convoy had good flow on a beautiful side sloping session.

Very proud of all the Fellas, we could see the confidence grow and technique improve during the trip.

Thanks for my supports, catch you all next weekend.

Amazing drive, lots of techniques learned.
Got to feel my car more and more 👍🏻

Extremely excited at the beginning of the drive which let me pop-out my tire – thanks to Sujith everything got fixed and well done in a quick time thanks to Marc’s instruction.

Finally the donuts was the cherry on the top 😎
We all got our share of it 😉

Thanks you very much!! Wonderful technical route + smooth medium dunes, which I enjoyed a lot.

  5. I was a bit over eager to get the drive started yesterday and arrived 20min before anyone else, but it gave me the opportunity so see a beautiful desert sunrise with coffee in hand.. I don’t want to keep hammering the point of how much better Desert Fellas are then other clubs I’ve driven with, BUT, it’s only my 3rd drive with DF and already it was the most challenging drive I’ve had yet. The rest of them just do the same thing over and over again.

Loved the drive yesterday. I want to recap my 2 stucks hoping someone else can learn from my mistakes as well. The first one was a left hand turn over a small crest, I approached to slowly and did not have enough momentum to carry me over. This left me in a precarious position and it was too dangerous to attempt self recovery. Sujith did a quick recovery and second try was completed easily with just a little bit more momentum.

My second stuck happened after I started a side slope and the convoy stopped in front and I had no choice but to complete the challenge and park safely next to Victor who was in front of me. This left me on a slight downhill slope and when I had to get started again (up hill right turn) I dug in. Sujith guided me in self recovery and it’s a nice technique to have learned. What I want to take away from this is that you have to try and watch 2 cars ahead and not just the car in front of you, If I noticed the car in front of Victor had stopped I would not have started the challenge.

    All good lessons learned.

    On to the next one.

A very interesting and challenging drive for me where the tap tap technic was the key (slopes, high sharp dunes and donut). The will to share is amazing with DF and nobody is left on the side.

To wake up early for such driving experiences is not so difficult 😉

Thanks again to ChefMarc for his lead and his support, Sujith for his sweeping and care and Salah for his second lead.

Looking forward to the next drive !!

I hate people who shows up late on a drive day, but this time it was me “I am sorry” the fact is I got it all wrong when I read the post as the drive from 6:30 to 10:00 in my brain it was the meeting time and I was shocked to see everyone was ready to drive “only rialized it late in the evening. Marc was truly exceptional to allow me join this drive. Thanks a lot.
I must admit that DF club is unique in many ways comapared to other clubs. It’s not just about how they organize the group and level of memebrs but the way they pass-on the technique and knoeldge of driving on the sand dunes step-by-step taking all safety measure in great considerations.
You must have found me very annoying this day but I promise to bring you medicine for it next time we meet LOL. No. I seriously will try to make it better and be a good example of DF member.
Thanks to @ChefMarc @saleh and @sujith for a great back to the sand drive. It was truly a nice combination of various tracks including side slopping, long strech, sharp dunes and hard climbes. Looking forward to the next experience. Till I see you again, you stay safe.
