Very early start as it was still dark while we deflated, everyone on time but before we could start briefing one Fella had coolant issues and had to turn back home to be on the safe side.

Once brief was done we moved directly to the top of Big Red and enjoyed probably the best sunrise I have ever seen. After soaking in the view we started on our mission to find some virgin dunes with out tracks. This was nearly impossible but after about 45 min we started finding a few. Along the way there were many campers and even an off road police convoy spotted.

Some big hill climbs and a few bowls with one or two second tries under our belts, the convoy started exploring new areas and left the bumpy tracks behind. This area had some high, sharp and very technical crests so we started having really good fun before heading to the exit on time as planned.

Thanks everyone who joined and to my supports, it was a great drive except for all the bumpy tracks.

Catch you all on the next one.

Thank you Marc, Mike and rest of the team. It was a technical and challenging drive. Had a lovely view on sunrise from a beautiful spot. Sorry one of the fellas had to leave us. Missed him in the drive. Had a blast and a fun filled day. Thank you team.

  4. Thanks for the beautiful view this morning Chef!

It was a great trip with a great group. I loved seeing the pink rock canyon, I’ve never been that way.

Anyhow, all the bumps aside, it was a great morning to be in the desert. Thanks for putting the trip together

  5. Beautiful sunrise to start off the drive , it was a nice cold morning – we approached pink Rock from Badayer today.
Great lead from Chef as always.
I really enjoyed the 2nd half of the drive when we crossed over to the other side of 2nd December as there were less tracks and more closely packed technical dunes.
Thanks Chef & looking forward to the next one.
