Dune Raiders
The dunes in Nazwa were in pristine condition, sleepily waiting to be greeted by the first rays of the morning sun. But just before sunrise, they were stunned into life by nine adrenaline soaked Desert Fellas.
The team was forewarned that this drive was gonna be pitched slightly above Advanced Junior Level since the Advanced Juniors on this drive had already driven this route before. So needless to say, it was going to be faster paced with a lot of Cresting action.
After a few minutes of medium paced side sloping, the convoy order was changed so that our sweeper (Marko) could keep a closer eye on our Advanced Juniors by moving the Offroaders to the front of the convoy.
The group kept good pace with regular encouragement from our sweeper. As the pace picked up focus became intense. A long period of complete radio silence was eventually broken by someone announcing a second try. This was a clear sign that the group was ready for their first break – and they earned it.
We then proceeded to Big Red where the convoy was introduced to a new challenge which they chewed up like they’d done it many times before. Safety distance on the initial high climbs was a bit disappointing for a group of this experience level but it improved considerably as we moved on to more exciting Cresting climbs.
Sadly one of the Fellas had the exit the desert just before the end of the drive due to mechanical problems. The rest of the convoy exited shortly afterwards but not before flattening a few more crests.
Thanks Marko of the effortless self recoveries and great coaching, and SL Mick for keeping the convoy organized

Thank you Preggy, Mick and Marko for the trip. As always it a pleasure driving with you guys. Thanks for the rest of the team as well
Always a pleasure driving with you guys, was really good pace today. Thanks Preggy, Marko and Mick for leading, great job 👍
Hope you get to the bottom the issue you had yesterday. Such a sudden loss of power can be extremely dangerous in a more challenging area.
The drive was fabulous. Thanks preggy for the wonderful trip and terrain. Thanks Mick and marko for the support. See you next time.
Great team effort and it feels amazing to see how the teamwork plays out. I was pumped to drive behind Sven because I felt the DF essence in his drive which made me even more confident on following his tracks.
Trip and track planning was beautiful especially that new area near Big Red. Kudos to DF team for planning, execution and ensuring our safety.
silly mistake from myself near to the end kinda left a bad taste in the mouth – i’m sorry i kinda broke the tempo at that point.
will be focusing on the positives and feedback received in order to put out a 100% Desert Fellas worthy performance next time.
Don’t let your mistakes get you down. Just don’t repeat the same mistake – learn and move on. I’m sure nobody noticed anyway🤣 they all wanted a break at that point but were too scared to ask. So when the convoy stopped they assumed that somebody read their thoughts.
Thanks Preggy I could join in last minute , absolutely worth it to wake up early again. 😜 it was a while back to drive with a nice speed and flow , enjoyed it a good recharge for the week ahead , thank you support team for your guidance
