Desert Groove
Today we had one late comer and rest of the group started with briefing 7AM sharp.
Today spot was on Moamin who finally get back to the group after while. Habibi, welcome back and good luck this time!!! We made decision to drop level and take it easy with this trip. We kept it as low junior level. It was lot of tracks from the other convoys and we also meet few of them. Despite low level trip we spotted some small mistakes which we will communicate trough personal feedbacks. On the end of the day this was very productive and easy going trip for start of the long weekend.
Thank you to all for attending and specially to my trip supporting team a. You’re making very nice crowd, all together.
See you next time and keep rocking!

Yeah a really pleasant chilled drive to start the weekend with a great bunch of people having a laugh and some safe fun in the desert
As usual senior team looked after us all and fed back information to us all when needed
Looking forward to the next one

Welcome back Mon3eim
It was a very good drive, learned many things today!!! Thank you Marko and Other fellas!!!
Thank Marco and Team for today’s drive, fine tuning our skills
This junior drive was very relaxing due to one of our oldest member rejoining after a long period of time. Good to see you back buddy after ab initio 3. There wasn’t much side sloping and i felt the pace was slower than other drives in the same level. Weather was pleasant and spirits were high.
Until we meet next time, Farewell Fellas.
Nice drive and good spirit! Junior, slow pace but learnful… And Moamin, welcome back (super)man. Glad to see you on the sand again.
Marko mentioned that the drive would be slow and easy to accommodate all participants so there were no surprises. Since there were no surprises I decided to create one of my own in the form of a pop out. I mistakenly deflated my front tires below the pressure that I usually maintain off road. I expected the tires would naturally warm up before I could get adventurous. However, the sand was very cold and did not contribute to the heating of the tires. I descended the leeward side of a small dune at a slight angle and had a pop out on the front right tire. This gave the group some time to stretch their legs and make jokes at the sweeper. Pop out was fixed without drama and the drive continued as planned.
Learning points:
– Communication: some members still failed to announce that they had cleared an obstacle and this caused the convoy to stretch out. The message is simple “drivers name” – “clear” …… that’s all.
– Following distance: when we were driving in the technical area near fossil rock safe following distance was not maintained. If someone had gotten stuck and needed recovering the convoy would have been a mess. Ask yourself the following questions in a technical area:
1. Am I close enough to the car in front of me to see where he is going so that I do not lose the track?
2. Is there sufficient distance between me and the car in front of me so that I can stop safely and give him space to recover himself if he gets stuck?
Drive safely, and have an awesome long weekend.
