This was one of our biggest turnouts yet and amazing to welcome so many new like-minded people.

At the meeting piont it was pouring down with rain so we headed to last exit, found some shelter and conducted the Dessert Fellas introduction. With everyone on the same page and the weather cleared up it was back to the desert for our recommended equipment presentation by Salah.

Trip was split into 2 convoys

Current Dessert Fellas

Lead by Gonzo, second lead Anthony and Salouh as a sweeper, we heading toward an open area were we practice side cresting performed well by all the fellas, we drove towards the Techinal area were we experienced a tired pop out fixed. It was a good opportunity for some guys to see how is the proper way to fix it, later we continue our drive and finished as planned by 11:00 am, we complete 35 km.

Prospects

Lead by Chef Marc, 2nd lead Sujith, sweeper Javier and Marshall Marko.  Drive started with very easy straight cresting and slowly increasing lvl to make sure all attendees with and with out experience understood the logic and dicipline. We had several stuck situations which was expected but everyone recovered safely before heading to the exit to inflate and debrief a bit behind schedule.

Everyone did a really amazing job especially from those who kissed the sand for the first time, you all listened attentively applied the DF disciplines and instructions well, bravo!

Please rate and share your thoughts below.

See you all soon back on the sand.

Wet start to an amazing drive, but the rain helped wake me up 😂

Great drive today, felt a lot more confident with my car and really pushed it in the slopes. Unfortunately I suffered a pop out, but thankfully it was quickly resolved and we were back on our drive.

Driving in the wet sad was a lot of fun as my car would react differently on the harder terrain and the sliding around in some corners was a good adrenaline rush 😆

Can’t wait for the next drive !

    1. First pop out I’ve seen! Then we got another one in the afternoon drive! Just shows how easy it can happen when the sand is firm

        Yeah exactly !
Iv seen a few before, but this was the first to happen to me thankfully it wasn’t too serious and was quickly resolved.

I hope the second pop out was also easily resolved too 😆

  5. Great to get back into the desert! This is my second intro session! Good to do as a refresher! Thanks all

  6. It was good to go out in the rain. The sand was quite saturated with water, so it changed the driving dynamics quite a bit. It was also good to see new faces getting introduced to the desert. Hope to see everyone out there soon.

A big than you to Chef Mark, Sujith, Marko and Javier for brightening up what otherwise was a gloomy start to the day. Enjoyed the drive, had an unfortunate stuck on top of the Crest, but was well recovered by Javier. Waiting for the next drive. Thanks for all your help and support.

  8. Great to see so many new faces show up for the intro, the morning rain was crazy but showed how keen everyone was that turned up and not let a little moisture stop the learning and fun. I was nice to drive with new DF crew I hadn’t driven with yet. Looking forward to seeing you all out there again soon.

  9. Great great great ride!!! Through heavy rain and horrible weather conditions.. nothing can stop Dessert Fellas! It shows you a commitment and dedication of the whole team 🙂 Can’t wait for the next ride with you, guys! 😈

  10. It was quite some rain but the team made sure to keep us safe.
The safety briefing and introduction about DF rules and regulations was interesting.
Got stuck in the dune but clear instructions from sweeper Javier to reverse and build-up momentum to re-attempt. Overall great organization by convoy leader ChefMarc, 2nd lead Sujith and Marshall Marko. Javier made sure we were all safely out. Really looking forward to the next lesson!

What a day, I must say. Started with a Beautiful RAIN. This Ab initio was a different one compared to the usual one due to weather. As always, our team leaders are wise enough to bring the best out of any weather condition. Thanks to Marko and ChefMarc for continuing and making the day a brighter one.

The new team members were very responsive, and happy to see lot of new faces and different vehicles. Always enjoyed the mix culture and respect for each other. Being a car freak, I always enjoyed to see how different vehicles perform in desert.

Hoping to see you all again for the next prospect drive.

A big thank you to Javier for the timely support (Bro, to the rescue).
