Everyone was on time today and introductions was started at 6am sharp as planned. After Desert Fellas Intro and assessment the group was split into newbies and Off-roaders.

Offroaders had safety briefing at introduction and was put into convoy order with Chefmarc in lead and Gonzo as sweeper to start.

Drive started smooth with mild level to the first points with no issues. In the middle of the drive area became very tricky and demanding with a few self recoveries, tier issue and one stuck in extremely soft sand. After a few minutes break Gonzo was in lead back towards exit point and deciding to cut the trip shorter to exit on time (good decision). We finish 10 min before schedule after 31km.

Great start and good lines in the beginning, in the tricky area you were challenged to find the right lines and it was a bit too demanding for a light offroad level, leading the convoy always in a safe way. Great job and really nice trip

Sweeper part was perfect.

Fantastic Job overall! You managed to find get the convoy back to a better area very quickly and had a smooth drive back to exit. 2nd lead and time management was flawless.

Newbie convoy by Marko

Yes we did some explanation and share lot’s of theory followed practical tryouts. We agreed there is many things to learn in case to enjoy driving on sand in proper and safe way.

We faced some “newborns” issues, but nothing what we couldn’t handle. After all, we scratched surface and there is many nice things ahead.

Let’s see how you guys did today.

This is your first time and this is how it is. It was some mistakes today but in future we will work more on some important things such as tracks following, gravity and similar. This is just beginning, you will discover much more exciting things about your car and yourself as driver.

I’m glade that you’re with us after Gonzo find you in the desert. I’m happy that you’re ready to learn and develop off-roading skills for future use. You will see, after while your BBQ spots will be much better. 😀

I admire your patience and please stay in that way. We will work towards development of your offroading skills. Today you did all challenges right. In future we will close a little bit gap and try to keep safety distance 15-20 meters as discus.
