Young Guns
This trip turns about to be free stile but also opportunity to try some new stuff. This is the report about today’s drive.
This trip was planned as a rehearsal with an upgrade to the previous trip. But unfortunately not always everything goes as we imagined. The unforeseen situation brought us a slightly different ride than planed.
The man of the day was us sweeper Johann who bravely dealt with numerous recovery situations. The soft and occasionally unpredictable sand was taking its toll today and cutting off our flow. Nevertheless, we took several opportunities to practice and refine our skills and prepare for our next visit to this place.
We notice that summer is knocking at the door and the temperatures are higher. This terrain is requiring a little more skill and vehicles to be ready for extreme driving situations. Now’s a chance to see what we’re made of and how much we’re really interested in off-road driving.
We see several talents in this group and now it is up to them to show their perseverance and passion for off-roading.
Thanks to everyone who attended this ride and I hope that despite frequent stops due to second try and the like, you still managed to enjoy another driving day on the hot sand.

One can feel that summer is around the corner and we will make the most of the few remaining cool days.
I love this area for its ability to challage you around every corner and over evry dune.
Few to many second tries today, but so we learn and progress to be better drivers.

Johann- you were fantastic! You saved us all many times in such a calm manner as if the heat was not affecting you at all (or so it looked) and thanks to you for many of us that little sandy area that seemed so tricky is now just a part of a learning course. Thanks a lot for that and Thanks to everyone for today’s drive & company! It’s still a place to return to!
Great day out on the sand; properly enjoyed myself the whole time even as challenges got bigger and bigger.

What a blast. Thank you very much Marko, Martin and Johann – really appreciate all the help. Fully agree on the man of the day: after watching you navigate around the dunes getting people out of trouble, my Brother in law started referring to you as “the South African Mountain Goat”! Looking forward to getting out again soon.
