Cherry on Top
Cherry on top was one hell of a ride. The dunes were nice and tall. And the lines were ready for us.
After about 30 minutes of warming up we started to move towards the high crests near the Badayer area, our convoy moved fast and furious towards Iftar bowl.
A few minutes later the convoy stopped for a short break and to clear a pop out from Marshal Marc. The drive then continued with the convoy leaving their mark on everything on our way to Iftar bowl.
The drive was full of uphill cresting, down hill cresting, reverse switches and bowls.
We made our way to the big hills around the area, saw a few burned cars on our way to super bowl. After making our way to super bowl we made our way to the Badayer shops, making sure we took every obstacle at sight.

Let the Eid break begin!
CHERRY ON TOP was a most excellent start to the Eid holidays. Since the track along Tawi fence was already overrun with small, steep and extremely soft dunes, Javier chose an alternate route to the drive starting point. This bumpy route was a good litmus test for my shocks settings, and clearly it was set too soft. This resulted in the car jumping and bouncing all over the place like a drunk rabbit.
After a short stop for some fine tuning the car felt a lot more stable and I was able to keep pace with the rest of the convoy, who already had me eating their dust.
We covered a lot of ground today and Javier was on fire. He found some amazing challenges and chose great lines while maintain a non-stop high pace that was Offroader worthy.
It was really nice to be out on a drive with a convoy that gelled so well. Smashing all the dunes in sight at breakneck speed was great fun, but sharing this morning with great company was what really made this drive special.
Thanks for a great drive Javier. At this rate, it won’t be long before you dominate this area. Looking forward to the next one.
