Junior Level 4 (Ai13) take 2
A very early start, all Fellas on time and high spirit for driving. Always great to see smiles early in the morning.
Temperature felt like winter is around the corner. After combined safety briefing done by our senior and leader, we got moving quickly.
With little Red Devil back from surgery, we started our drive. During warm up some lessons were repeated from last week’s (interrupted) drive on side sloping and car control, to gain some more confidence for the remaining of the trip. Convoy got moving nicely, after several 2nd tries and self recoveries, some found the higher dunes quite challenging and so we made some repetitions and got better results.
One of the major lessons today is to make friends with gravity, you respect gravity and gravity will respect you. Hard lesson today for some fella who managed to get three (3) pop-outs in one time/one car. Sweeper managed as far as possible, however fella was escorted out of the desert due fo tyre damage and unrepairable situation.
Convoy kept moving nice and steady towards Fossil Rock where we stopped to admire the beautiful landscape. The team showed good spirit from beginning to end of the trip. No challenge was too big and all showed that they are ready for Junior Level 5.
We are still facing some issues with convoy alignment and mutual understanding when comes down to teamwork driving style.

Today was an awesome drive!! Not only was the drive itself in a really spectacular area, but I felt the convoy flow improved and the overall atmosphere of the trip was really positive.

Fantastic drive , great scenery..it was faster and higher ..I thought I knew my vechile…learnt something new again today…thanks to ALL for their patience and teaching us how not to kill ourselves…now I have to wait a week to next drive :(….reddevil always on form
