WILDTRACK ADVENTURE: Turn up and tune in to a musical melody
As the sun cast first light upon the meeting point, the air calm, and with a pleasantly cool temperature our adventurers had high expectations for the journey ahead. We extended a warm welcome to both our junior and senior members, taking the chance to exchange tales of both on-road and off-road escapades during the summer break.
Warming up we took our time navigating through the nearby dune formations building up a nice melodic rhythm to reengage the off-road sensations that accompany desert driving. With everyone in the zone we made our way to pink rock enjoying some of the small bowls around the base before opening up the throttle for higher paced climbs.
Ahead of schedule we decided to take a break and enjoy some freshly brewed karak against the backdrop of the magnificent landscape with the humming sound of convoys and their engines in the background.
Progressing further, we circled around chef’s bowl on multiple occasions and with all drivers now warmed up it was time to turn down the walkie talkies and turn up the sound systems! to really unplug and enter the flow state.
Flowing like a river, to the rhythm of the music we carved our tracks around and over the large dune formations. After 40 minutes of pure driving pleasure, it was time to take a break, enjoy some banter before taking on the next challenges big red had to offer.
Thank you all for a superb morning on the sand, great to have our juniors back and special thanks to our support team for keeping the convoy safe.
See you on the sand soon.
