Where it Leads
Back out again this morning during the Eid holidays, and lucky us, the mercury was in the low 20s! That’s practically unheard of in June, but after the heatwave just two weeks ago, it was a truly welcome.
With our newest generation of junior drivers officially graduating from basic training last week, we thought it was the perfect time to spoil them a little. So we planned an easy, scenic drive through a very special area, one that promised to deliver an unforgettable desert experience.
We kicked things off at daybreak in the golden dunes of Al Faqa, right on the border between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. And we had the slopes all to ourselves!
The dunes were silky smooth and irresistibly inviting. We weaved through wave after wave of sand, hitting a few playful bowls along the way, grinning ear to ear. Eventually, we rolled into our picturesque midway pit stop: a peaceful Ghaf forest, where we took a well-earned Karak tea break under the shade.
The vibes were great, plenty of laughs and good banter among the trees, perfect weather all around, and even a few desert critters making their morning debut as the sun climbed higher.
Refreshed and recharged, we picked up the pace for the final leg of the journey. A few high-speed slope runs later, we cruised to the exit right on schedule and ready to make the most of the rest of the long weekend.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined, and a warm welcome to our newly minted junior drivers! Big shoutout to Pavel and Adam for handling sweeper duty and jumping in to fix a popout, keeping everything rolling smoothly.
Catch you all on the slopes again soon!
