Tread Tweak
Our adventure began today with no warm-up, taking us straight from the meeting point to the top of the dunes. The area was bustling with activity, so we had to navigate through a number of convoys to get our vehicles over the crests.
Despite the crowds, we enjoyed plenty of adrenaline-pumping action with side slopes and crest rides, setting the rhythm for the rest of the drive. After completing several loops, we headed to Temple Bowl, where we spent time tackling the steepest faces of the dune. Every challenge was met with calm and confidence.
Following a short break, we visited the Old Lady. The area was bumpy and crisscrossed with tracks from earlier convoys, but that didn’t stop us from riding the dune ridge from end to end—and having a blast along the way. Nagrah was busy with another convoy and buggies, so we took on the dune from its steepest side and were rewarded with breathtaking views.
On the way back—as is typical in this area—we navigated countless switches and paths along high dune tops and steep slopes. With only two cars in our convoy today, the dunes left entirely ours.
Thank you, Oriol, for joining today’s drive and demonstrating such professional car control. Your skills helped keep the drive smooth and the pace fast. We left behind a remarkable number of switches, had two epic stucks at the top of tall dunes—each followed by an equally epic self-recovery—and logged 102 km of off-road experience. This new record was only possible because we drove as a cohesive team.
A perfect end to the week, filled with unforgettable memories. See you on the sand again!
