Sweeping Trials
Today we passed a Leg 1 of Sweeping Trials
Through the deliberated selection of off-roaders, we came to a shortlist of potential candidates for sweepers who meet certain criteria for Sweeping Trials.
This training included certain recovery techniques, behavior detection, driver assistance, communication, and solving certain challenges through the most common situations.
All candidates showed the good will and passion to learn and they were able to quickly adapt to the given situations.
In the future, this candidates will be assigned to trips where they will have the opportunity to improve the learned skills. Their activities will be under mandatory supervision by the leader and senior sweeper until further notice.

Every drive with DF weather if it’s a fun trip, training or a level drive, you always take something away in experience and knowledge, today was no exception.
Thanks Marko for the well planned training and exercises, it was really a lot of fun (and sweat) with great company as always.
As Malcolm said, every trip with Desert Fellas is a learning experience and today we all learnt a lot about basic recovery techniques. Very early stages and a lot of practice is required but it is heartening to see that safety is always the number one priority. Marko’s passion for sharing his extensive knowledge was clearly evident today, for which we are all very grateful.
Although we came back with almost full tanks of fuel, but we gained a huge amount of tips and tricks when it come to rescue and recovery.
Thanks @marko for giving us this opportunity to support DF drives in the near future.
Way to go Fellas, I’m so looking forward to seeing all of you in action, I’m sure you will all make great sweepers!
