Rise and Drive
After a long, well-deserved weekend, we figured why not squeeze in a cheeky sunrise off-roader in the legendary Badayer Desert?
With a last minute announcement, we rolled out as a lean, mean convoy, just a handful of us, which of course comes with perks: tighter switches, quicker crests, and zero waiting around. So, well before dawn cracked the horizon, we were already carving side slopes in the early morning silence.
We hit all the highlights along the iconic 7 Peaks, and the dunes were practically ours. Just a few other convoys scattered in the distance, plus one lone desert roamer in a Silverado who found himself stuck. But with sweeper Pavel jumping in for a quick rescue, we were back in motion in no time.
The morning was surprisingly pleasant though the humidity definitely made itself known. Some dunes were even slightly damp, signs of a rare overnight drizzle. While the usual spots were chewed up with deep tracks, we still sniffed out some untouched crests and flowing lines that kept the adrenaline going.
A quick break at Super Bowl gave us the perfect view of the sunrise, a magical way to welcome a Sunday. After some good old-fashioned banter, we made our way back to the Badayer shops, aired up, and wrapped things up with a chilled coconut in hand.
Thanks for a cracking morning out, see you on the slopes again soon!
