Many Generations of Desert Fellas Discovery and the 19th generations brought a real happy vibe!

The morning started on time and everyone looked very excited to be out in the dunes even though the weather was very humid. We got stuck into the presentation after a quick introduction from everyone. This group was attentive with good questions as we covered all the basics from predrive preparation to safety gear.

As the presentation was wrapping up our Advanced trainees came to pay a visit and greet the discovery group as they were wraping up with their drive. After this we started to air down and get ready for our drive, which started with a nice and easy warm up like always and then steadily progressing to more challanging dune crossing as they gained confidence and feel for their cars.

As the drive progressed all were really foucasing on drive diciplines and radio comunications were awesome. We didn’t have any stuck cars on the morning session and only a couple of second tries that our sweeper team handle swiftly.

A good couple of hours later our group managed to grasp the very basics of dune crossing meaning it was time to break for Lunch. We picked a cooler spot at the lakes under some shade, bid fairwell to those who were not joining for the afternoon.

The mid day heat dissipated and with some lunch and refreshments in our bellies the afternoon sessions started with a quick recap of mornings technique before a very fruitful session of higher speed and side slopeing.  Like ducks to water our convoy mastered this driveing technique in a little over an hours drive with only a single stuck on a tricky straight crest.

The day was drawing to close so we headed towards the exit while keeping a good flow throughout the dunes. I was very proud of everyone’s diciplines and driving today and they all deserve some priase and congratulations.

Thank you all for joining and our supporting team, Marko, Preggy, Javier and Johann. Looking forward to welcoming you Basic training soon
