What an amazing morning out with our new Off-Road Discovery, team, kicking things off with an epic adventure on the sand!

Meeting at dawn, our eager discoverers were ready to learn the art of sand driving. With this being their very first time in the dunes, we started right from the beginning covering all the essentials before getting properly stuck in. We began with a deep dive into safety, techniques, and gear, spending a good part of the morning setting clear boundaries and expectations before moving on to hands-on exercises.

Once the theory was covered, it was time for the fun part: driving. Crossing their very first dune, they made it look easy! As the challenge increased, a few second attempts followed, and soon it was time to learn new techniques, including the art of side sloping.

With all the day’s lessons complete, we headed deeper into the dunes to put everything into practice. What followed was a spectacular desert drive, sloping and climbing dunes to their heart’s content, ending the day with big smiles and a huge boost in confidence.

A big thank you to everyone for a fantastic day out, and to our sweeper Adam for keeping the convoy safe and moving smoothly. We’re looking forward to welcoming these discoverers back on the sand very soon as they continue their journey with our Basic Training Program.
