What is Orange flag?

This flag is awarded to a Fella with off-roading experience with minimum Senior level of driving. S/he attended the special leadership training and it’s proof that s/he is ready to plan and lead trips covering all the safety aspects of a trip including recovery. This Fella has acquired the skills on how to: map trips, plan and lead for certain trip levels, assign a convoy order, maintain communication, lead recovery, and respect and maintain our safety standards.

This Fella is a Trip Leader but not an Instructor (teacher). S/he can help you understand and develop certain techniques and skills that you learned before, but s/he can not teach you new driving techniques because that is the role of the Instructor. The Team Leader also supervises the Trip Supporters (Second Lead and Sweeper). The Team leader can be of Senior and Expert level only.
