Nazwa to Pink Rock
Another trip with everyone on time!!!
That is great and we have to keep up always like that.
We did the briefing and defined the convoy order as follow:
Tiago as the leader, followed by Karen as the second lead, then Tariq, Mohamed, Tarek, Michael, Salah, Gonzo, Marc and Preggy as sweeper. Marko followed the convoy on the side.
We started on the lower dunes as a warm-up on an area full of straight crests until we reached the area near Pink Rock, where the fun started!
We tackled nice side slopes until we reached a big bowl where we had the opportunity to join many skills in one single round!
After a break, we crossed to the south side of Pink Rock we a more rocky terrain was on the way.
The final challenge was a big slope where the main objective was to control the car on the way down on very soft moving sand. Not everyone made it to the top, but I must make clear that it was not a junior challenge. So, if you did not make it, don’t worry because that slope was off-roader level!!!
We also had the opportunity to see ALL YOU MUST NOT DO on a slope as that group of Patrols and Land Cruisers tried to climb the slope! Keep what they did in mind and NEVER do what they did!!!
Original driveline was 9.5 km, when we reached the exit we logged 28km!
KAREN: Great job as second lead again, your communication skills really improved, keep like that!
My apologies if I was rude on the radio! I love you!!!
TARIQ: You are really improving with every drive! Remember that after going down the ditch you must go full-throttle on the way up, and by that, I mean pedal to the metal until you are on a flat area again! Do not forget to complete your equipment for next time. Please coordinate with ChefMarc. You’ll need his clearance to attend next trip.
MOHAMED: I was really happy to listen to your engine screaming today. Remember that your car was designed to do just that! Don’t feel sorry for it and keep up the good work! Next time, equipment must be completed. Please coordinate with Gonzo to get clearance for next trip.
TAREK: Nice to meet you brother. As you said, we get rusty after a few months without driving. I’m sure that in two more trips you’ll feel fit and you’ll perform as before. Hope to see you soon on a future drive.
MICHAEL: Like the other Juniors you are getting more and more confident with every trip. I suggest that you alternate between high and low range to be familiar with the different gear settings and get used to them!
SALAH: Thanks for being our anchor in the middle of the convoy. Flawless driving!
Also thanks for supporting Preggy with the recoveries!
GONZO: Great to see you back Hermano… Flawless drive as well!
MARC: No comments on the drive boet. Thanks for also supporting Preggy on the recoveries! Lekker!
PREGGY: Great job on the sweeping today brother, thanks a lot!
Thank you Fellas for joining this trip and thanks Marko for another leading opportunity!
See you soon at the dunes!

Perfect drive today Tiago you are a natural leader, kept all of us safe and never bored on the trip. Great to see the fellas growing stronger and have some old faces back. Can’t want for the next one.
We grow together boet’ ✌🏽
Great morning trip, is really good to be back and see my good friends and new fellas, Tiago hermano great trip and flawless lead well done!!!
Thanks guys and sand you soon!
Wonderful trip as usual. Great lead Tiago👍👍👍
It was a beautiful morning. Better weather than we could have ever hoped for considering that it’s the middle of summer. Tiago pulled all the stops to make this junior trip exciting by providing ample opportunity to practice the lessons learnt so far while making the drive sufficiently challenging to build the confidence of our newer members in a safe environment. The convoy responded extremely well to all the challenges that were thrown at them and showed that they had heeded the lessons taught during the first 3 junior drives.
The group drove so well that I got almost no practice on recovery duty. Thanks for the moral support Marc and Salouh. Great second lead Karen and amazing driving everyone.
Just to reiterate Tiago’s message: Don’t do what the White Prado did on the slope. I know it seems like you’re holding everybody up when you have to reverse slowly all the way down a long incline, but it’s the safest way to return for a retry. We all use this technique and it works every time. Your safety is important to us and we want the entire convoy to end the trip safely and happily, with your cars intact and ready for the next weekend’s drive.
Have a phenomenal week. See you on Saturday insha’allah.
I totally agree Preggy, thank you!
