Muddy Tracks
A brilliantly fresh morning after the rain for the Muddy Tracks drive.
With the sands still firm and a chill in the air our teammates were ready to enjoy something different. It’s not often that we get the opportunity to drive after the rain and after this weeks showers the desert was fresh and seemed alive, reminding us of spring.
During the warm-up we has one stuck while getting to grips with the stiff crests and after some swift sweeping action, convoy was warming up and making the mud fly towards our picnic spot.
The gahf forest this morning was extra special and teaming with desert life. A herd of camels came to join us as they enjoyed the crisp leaves on the tree around our pit stop. There a few newborns that were only 10 days old and these little ones were so curious of the convoy that they came to great us, making this trip extra special and the tea on our picnic taste a little bit sweeter.
After basking in this beautiful setting it was going to be hard to beat this hight with a drive but nonetheless we started exploring the dunes. Finding some side slopes and bowls was easy and the condition made the drive even easier as our drives made the challenges look like child’s play.
After a good session on the sand it was time to head towards the exit spotting multiple herd of gazelles on our way, made this trip a true safari experience and just added to what was an epic morning out with the crew.
Thank you all for a relaxing mellow drive and beautiful morning out in nature. Great job and thanks to our suport team Martin, Malcom and Ryan. See you on the sand soon.
