Junior level 6 (Final Take)
Sweeper was in top form with first recovery at 5:45 before trip briefing even started. After sweeper warm up and briefing, drive warm up was underway.
The Fellas were all confident and we got started with some medium hill clims striaght away to carry on the momentum from last weeks drive. A few second tries and with repitition on momentum building exercises done plus a quick pop out fix, the Fellas made fast work of the technical area, surprisingly little to no drama on the way to some bigger challages.
Here things got more challenging but all managed to keep good dicipline and showed nice driving skill even with the odd radio coms issue. As the morning started heating up so did the pace, challange and the demanding terain. After navigating some high dunes and bowls with more traffic than Sharjah on a mid week rush hour we exited in high spirts and a sence of a complishment 5min before shedule.
This was truly a exceptional trip, most Fellas showed that they are ready to take up bigger challanges and after the previous disaster trip in the same area this seemed to be a totally diffrent team.
Big thanks to Preggy as sweeper, spot on as usual and Mick for his good 2nd lead. Catch you fellas on the next one.

Preggy saying “good job guys, the convoy is flowing like water” was so good to hear. Myself and all my fellow fellas were focused and determined to have a good drive today and we did! It was so much fun that I didn’t want it to stop and was sad when we reached the exit wanting more of the good stuff.
Thanks so much guys. The effort you guys out into teaching us blows my mind every drive!! CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!
A great trip were all I learned this last summer with DF came naturally due to the brain muscle !
After a medim hill climb as warm up, the tone of this drive was clear enough to understand we will need to show the best possible skills.
Before to reach the busy bowls area (how many clubs were they there ? 5 or 6 ?), the little tech area to cross was awesome to drive as momentum was the key.
Then we arrived on crowded areas where the challenges were pure dope !
Lines were perfect (thank you Marc), second lead was awesome as everything was repeated clearly and loudly (thank you Mick) and the sweeper was showing us his skills “protecting” us from hazards coming from right and left (thank you Preggy).
Honestly, to drive with DF is always pure bliss because there is always something new to learn, because the people are good, and because they know their stuff.
See you at the next one !!
Ps special shout out to Preggy who allowed me to go with him in his car for a little ride…🤯😂
I’m really jealous 😅
Also very much glad you enjoined it and did the right way. 💪🏻
I’ll be even more happier when I hear your promotions announcements 🤞🏻
What a great weather today and it really shows by how many cars were in dunes today. Unbelievable leaders skills to keep convoy safe! Can’t thank you enough, fellas. As for the drive, i really enjoyed today’s drive! Was good to see all the fellas driving in sync this morning. As we picked up a pace towards an end to the drive, everyone drove like champs and i am sure we turned many heads this morning from other clubs. Looking forward to many many drives like this one.
Amazing drive today. Very nice to see all the lessons coming together and making us an awesome nice team! Thanks for pushing us every day and build our confidence. I couldn’t believe i would be able to drive like i did today. And this is only the beginning. Looking forward to the next challenges. Thanks Marc, Mick and Preggy. The professionalism of the leaders today showed the real meaning of DF. See you on the next drive.
Our Juniors did an awesome job today. It was such a beautiful sight seeing eight Desert Fellas weaving up, down and across some of the most demanding terrain in the area, in unison. A degree of improvement was noticed in everyone when compared to previous drives.
This was only possible because you put all the lessons that you’ve had with DF so far into practice. You have also started to learn your vehicle’s capabilities and have started to make driving decisions based on that.
Convoy driving is a team activity. The effectiveness of the convoy is therefore determined by the skill level of individual drivers but also by how well they interact with their team mates and the level of trust and confidence they have in each other. It was evident on today’s drive that the level of trust is high in this team.
You all did extremely well today and should be proud of your achievement. See you on the next drive
