Junior level 6
After 6 weeks of intense training Ab Initio generation 15 was finally ready to take on the Junior level 6 drive. A drive designed to challange the whole team on all the aspects of their training.
This generation has to be the largest, most focused and serious group to have ever reached this far and they were very eager to get moving through the dunes this morning. With saftey briefing done, the trip started immediately with some dune climbs, really testing the Fellas focus. After a few second tries and convoy order adjustments things started to move more smoothly , but the technical area did slow us down with multiple second tries and a few stuck situations.
As we approach lager sands pace started picking up fast with bowl driving and higher climbs but the Juniors manged very well with intuitive driving making good decisions on safety and dicipline during tricky situations.
After a hectic 2 hours and 45 min convoy had managed to reach super bowl where we could finally take a well deserved rest and enjoy the scenery. This is were we briefed them on some development points.
I also took the opportunity to congratulate them on a reaching Jr level of Desert Fellas, it was an honour to welcome them officially to the family with a coveted Juniors lvl flag and sticker. They all made me very proud and am so excited to see them fly their new colours.
Thank you all for an amazing 6 weeks and all the support from our team. See you on the next drive, here is to Advanced Junior level training 💪

Congratulations all for making this huge and most difficult step with us. Thank you for giving us your trust and time. Welcome to the desert fellas, be proud and make us proud.
What a drive! What an experience! What an incredible 6weeks it has been. Receiving my DF flag yesterday, was all worth it! What I have accomplished in such a short time would not be possible without the constant support from the DF team. I can’t wait to carry on with this journey! Advance Junior here we come.
An amazing journey! To consider that just 6 weeks ago we were getting stuck on tiny straight crests in Al Qudra and yesterday we were hill climbing and bowl driving in Badayer is a true testament to the focused training and discipline taught by DF. Still a way to go and more practice and improvement is needed in some areas but this is just the start. All thanks to Marko, Chef Marc and the incredible senior support team, of which there are too many to name. I am proud to fly the DF flag and look forward to continuing the journey.
I have to be honest – I joined Desert Fellas for the awesome looking sticker and sweet flag, but stayed on for the best training and amazing community! 🙂 Seriously though, the DF flag looks sick! But the last 6 weeks made me really appreciate what it means to earn and fly it. Thanks for everything you guys do – Marko, Marc and the entire DF team. Looking forward to regular drives with this fantastic group.
