Not much can stop Desert FellasOne attendee had a flat battery this morning but because of good planning and time keeping he was able to quickly swap it out with the the daily driver making it on time to meeting point with everyone else.

Briefing and saftey checks done the convoy started moving, less than 100 meters in I noticed my 4×4 system was not working properly but decided to continue the warm up in 2×4 to see how we will manage. 30 min later it was clear that the days objectives would not be met, at Jr lvl 5 we really start pushing the team getting them ready for one of the best but also demanding areas this side of Abu Dhabi so the responsible decision was made. Convoy was briefed that we would continue at a much lower level to an emergency exit but still continue to enjoy the drive due to my 4×4 system failure.

The drive to exit was fun and scenic and we reached Big Red dune precisely on schedule where exited after 30 km of driving.

We will return and complete the challenges very soon, thank you Fellas for the drive, understanding and support of my mechanical failure you really made me proud today to be a fella among Fellas even though we didn’t scratch the off road itch properly today, at least we spent some time together with great company and fresh air.
