Junior Level 4 (Take 2)

Share with your friends!

Hey you guys, just to let you know that this was a great morning with a great ride.

This was a catch up trip where we corrected some of the issues what we noticed on the previous trip.

At the deflation point we were mixed with another group. It looked like a pile of scattered cars. When those vehicles were finally gone, they revile  neatly parked vehicles as befits the Desert Fellas group.

This time unfortunately we had one latecomer.

We started without philosophizing, safety briefing and straight to the point. All those challenges what we were facing time we simply “chewed up” and moved on.

We continued to pick up and adjust the pace. It was a smooth ride that allowed us not only to practice the challenges but to visit some famous attractions in the area such as Camel Rock, Rabit and as the crown of all Al Faya dunes.

And yes, we climb Al Faya with Juniors level 5. And yes they did it!!!

At Al Faya our drive reached its peak and we organized climbing on several routes. We took it from the front, back with the straight crest at the top.

Again, the team showed spirit, our image was sharp and they remain focused during all of  the challenges.

The team responded to all the challenges and showed that they are ready for the Junior Level 5 run.

Thanks you Javier for sweeping and Sven for Second lead, excellent job guys!

I’m so happy for my friends who were able to drive in this beautiful morning.

  2. Great morning ride , good flow and well done to the team keeping up with the challenges … more sand to conquer carry proudly the Desert Fellas flag

  3. It seems that I say this every week, best drive yet!!! I had so much fun! I was amazing to be out with my fellow fellas after the unfortunate and unnecessary scare last week.

I found the drive rewardingly challanging today with Marco taking us to the next level in our training. After my review from last week I really tried to focus on following distance, not fighting gravity and most importantly following tracks. Apart from one bad decision in the beginning of the drive and once or twice going off track I felt I did good.

Marco encouraged me to push hard on Al Faya dune after I turned down on my first attempt and after that I was smooth sailing with the pedal pressed down all the way!!

    Everyone had fun today!!

Thank you again for all that you guys do for us teaching and supporting.

This was the best drive so far, there was a constant flow, some second attempts or quick recovery by the sweepers. The group is interacting better, and most importantly, learning about their cars and gaining confidence to defeat the challenges imposed by Marko. Learning curve is steep, but I am confident we all will get there!!!!! Outstanding job Fellas.

As usual it was an amazing drive ! Marko took us to the next level. Still a lot of efforts to do to reach an acceptable offroading level but with its red colored sand, it was like driving on the planet Mars…

The spirit was there. The team was responding and eager to drive. I loved it!

Thank you to all fo this morning. The best way to enjoy this long Eid week end.

  6. Totally jealous of missing out on these drives – sounds like you guys had an amazing morning. Hopefully I’ll catch you up very soon!

This trip was amazing! I couldn’t believe I was able to accomplish all the challenges and lessons. From my first trip til now I can see how much I have learned regarding my car and off roading driving. Thanks DF! Looking forward to the next trip!
