Junior level 2
This Junior level 2 trip started in high spirits and free coffee.
A bit behind schedule l because of a late Fella but we move as a team and take all challenges together.
After briefing, breakfast snack and hot cup of coffee, convoy started warming up. We started nice and easy and progressed step by step, a few second tries and a snatch recovery later DF team was nice and warmed up for a new challenge.
Everyone switch to 4wheel drive low range as we started to enter the famous “egg box” technical area. It took a bit of adjustment and getting use to the slow, powerful, torquey driving in low range but once warm up there was very nice flow and the team did fantastic in a part of the desert infamous with stucks and tricky dunes.
And hour and a half later it was time to take a break before we made our way to Amir’s hill for some bigger and higher paced driving, but things didn’t pick up before a tyer pop out which was delt with by our sweeper. The last 45 min of the drive was spent side sloping in between some nice long dunes to the exit at triple tree to finish just behind schedule after roughly 40 km.
Thank you to Victor 2nd lead, Zoubeir sweeper and all the DF members who joined today. See you all next week.

Great trip today. Loved the technical driving. Thanks to all.
I know it’s only our 3rd drive together, but it’s definitely my favorite so far. The technical sections were awesome to drive through! Thanks for an excellent trip ChefMarc, Victor, Zoubeir and the whole team!
Another fantastic morning with lots of driving and lots of learning. A great technical area mostly spent in 4-Low, which was a first for me. The DF team are completely focused and continually push discipline and safety whilst steadily increasing the pace and the challenge. I especially like that the seniors keep constant watch and provide an honest critique to each driver so everyone knows what to work on. Thanks Marshal Marc, Victor and Zoubeir for a great training drive. I came away with more knowledge, more confidence and a big smile on my face!
A great trip with differents terrains to have fun. After the warm up the dunes were tricky and it was amazing to see this convoy moving like if it was a train. The team today was not even afraid by the trickiest double sharp straight crestings and went through all the challenges (tech, 4hi, slopes, high pace) with brio and humility.
“The best is yet to come” 😉
2 weeks ago, no one would have thought they could attempt the challenges they did today. Brilliant learning curve and kudos to everyone. I’m glad to have been part of it and see you all on the next one!
If you had to show me a video or image of what we were going to be doing on the day I would laughed you out the room. Never thought any of that was even possible, but I take my hat off to the guy’s. What a great drive! It feels like I’m learning in a day what should take week’s or even month’s. I can not wait for the next drive, see you next week.
