Sunrise on the edge of Sweihan, exploring untouched dunes.

After a bustling Saturday and navigating through the crowded dunes of Sharjah, today presented an opportunity to venture towards Sweihan, seeking smooth slopes and pristine crests. As the first rays of dawn emerged on the most eastern horizon, our journey began, carefully maneuvering through technically challenging soft patches. The speed and grace at which we traversed this treacherous section can be likened to dancing ice cubes gliding across a scorching hot cast-iron pan.

Before long, we arrived at the familiar and cherished sight of Nagrah, the behemoth that captivates our hearts. While the main climbing face bore the marks of previous expeditions from Saturday’s escapades, my preferred route was nearly untouched. With a daring approach befitting this colossal mound, we skillfully ascended its peak and gracefully transitioned despite our radiator water temperatures nearing a boiling 100 degrees Celsius.
Satisfying our desire to leave fresh tracks for those who would follow, it was time to press on.

Along our journey towards the exit, we playfully embraced almost every sandy peak in sight, progressing swiftly and managing to depart a few minutes ahead of schedule, triumphing over the rising heat.

Though our convoy was small in number, it was rich in enjoyment, and we express our gratitude to Sven for joining. The early rise for a Sweihan adventure proved to be incredibly rewarding, and we eagerly anticipate our next rendezvous on the sand.

What a drive. Sweihan is always great, and the two car convoy allowed us to move quick, seize all opportunities to move from crest to crest and leave our marks on nagra.
Thanks Marc for the early morning
