Iftar Bowl Stroll

The long weekend promised that many offroaders would be away and usually crowded attractions would be easily accessible, and our wish was granted. 5 Fellas met before sunrise at Bayader and with all preparations done before dawn, our convoy started to roll when the night lifted.

With a quick warmup on the small dunes behind us, we got to the first bigger dune on our route at a nice morning pace. On the first climbs of the day we explored multiple faces of the same dune, which offered many opportunities to play and enjoy the sand with fewer than usual tracks.

After a short break in the area, we made our way from one dune to the next in the area, looking for higher climbs and more side slopes to enjoy. Most climbs were conquered on the first attempt, with very few second tries during the whole drive.

Once we reached Iftar bowl, we did a few circles around this landmark from each side, with a short break in between. The break gave us some time for banter, but once more convoys arrived and the area became crowded, we started to pack up and move on.

The way towards the exit had some more climbs on the backside of Itfar Bowl and steep side slopes along the way, marking a nice end of this drive.

I want to thank Marcin as the second lead and Chef Marc for being sweeper and guiding me along the way. Thanks to Dewald and Nowar for coming along this morning on my first time leading a convoy.

See you on the sand soon.
