Summer is over? Not quite. The pleasant 26 degrees before sunrise was somewhat spoilt by the 70% humidity but the hard core Desert Fellas team shrugged this off.

This morning’s convoy consisted of some of our more seasoned Juniors so the pace and challenges were pushed up a notch with some high level climbs, difficult bowls, and a few technical areas to keep them on their toes.

After playing around at Gravity Bowl, the team rendezvoused with the DF Offroader convoy for a catch up over a cup of tea before heading off in the direction of some nice looking sand mountains.

Final destination was Iftar Bowl (no surprise considering the drive title!) and, although the area was busy with several other convoys, the team managed to get a few rounds of this bumpy, messed up monster before once again meeting up with the Offroader group. With time running short, a few more quick climbs and side slopes led us to the exit point.

Harun, Allam, Tony and Tamer – you were the real stars today. It is such a pleasure driving with accomplished, skillful offroad drivers and I look forward to seeing your continued development as you move to the next level. Javier, as always, many thanks for the support, encouragement and advice. I really enjoyed the drive and look forward to the next one.
