Honey Badger
Today, we started without a warm-up at the so-called “no warm-up point” in Sweihan, which offers a nice sunrise view spot on top of the tallest dune in area.
After getting our cars ready and conducting a safety briefing, we moved toward the sunrise spot—only 1 km away from the starting point, but it took us nearly 3 km to get there as we carved our own tracks through a steep bowl. No warm-up, no problem: all convoy members conquered this section with confidence. Finally, we stopped to take in one of the best views of the Sweihan Desert.
After a short break, we moved on, accompanied by many other convoys, but we found our own playground among the dunes at the start of our adventure—keeping the convoy in one line and setting the rhythm for the journey ahead. We covered the Sweihan section at a good pace. Then we moved into the Nahil area, with more challenging dunes, and had some great practice driving inside a bowl along the way. There we played and enjoyed a well-deserved coffee break. On the way to the exit, we crossed several high and challenging dunes, and all obstacles were tackled with great confidence—almost no stops or second attempts.
Thank you, team, for today’s drive. Thanks to Harun for being the second lead and to Ray for sweeping. A very confident team of juniors—truly ready for off-road level drives.
Thank you all, and see you soon on the sand again!!!!
