Fresh Start 3 (AI 5)
This morning we had one latecomer but luckily he made it before safety briefing. Weather was quite windy and lot of sand in the air. Visibility was poor.
We started 6:15 after trip introduction and drivers preparation. This drive was final lesson for our new people who joined us at Ab Initio 5.
We are lucky and proud that Michael earned his Desert Fellas sticker and flag.Β Trip was quite smooth in high pace with only one recovery. We put some new challenges in front of our new friends and they manage them well.
Here is feedback according to convoy order:
S1d (second lead): You did good job as second lead today. Nice and clear communication and good following distance. You did everything as instructed and I’m pretty proud that you manage to reach second lead position in such a short time.
Michael: You are fast learner. Intelligent driver which is accepting suggestions and applying them in your driving straight away. This is the best way to benefit in this game. You fit into our team very quickly and I’m sure we got a very nice, smart and polite guy in group. Congratulations for your Desert Fellas flag and sticker! Well deserved!
Deladier: First of all sorry if I was pronouncing your name during the trip in a wrong way. I’ll t will work on it, promise. If not you’ll get some cool nick name :D. Okay, your driving! We didn’t start together from very beginning and we saw that some components what we usually practicing in Desert Fellas are missing. But, in a same time you did all challenges and you also accepting suggestions and reflecting them on your driving straight away. That’s good because we can work on improvements straight away. I happy that you join us and looking forward to see you on our next junior drives.
Karim: Habibi! All good! After 10 years in Desert Fellas we will do our best to give you proper watch as present with lot’s of electricity in his mechanism. You’re guessing why, right :D. Good to see you bro and looking forward to see you more often on our drives, even junior ones.
Salouh: Salah is currently one of our most experienced sweeping and recovery teammates. Salah, you gained very good experience and confidence with us and now we are all very happy to have you on trips as support. Hope you’ll push extra mile and transfer your knowledge and experience on your colleagues. Sweeping and Recovery is important and demanding. It also requires certain knowledge and developed techniques. When comes to recovery this is aΒ huge responsibility and one misjudgment can cost a lot.Β Today your role was to support Preggy on his sweeping duties and you did it fantastic. Thank you for that!
Preggy (sweeper): From trip to trip I can feel how symbiosis between you and your car is getting bigger. You are doing great! Now continue slowly like this, don’t rush or push anything now. Take it easy and make every word and advice to work for you. I’m happy that we have you with us.
Thank you all to take part in this trip and looking forward to see you on next one.

Thank you Marko for the nice comments. I will always be there to support Desert Fellas in any way possible. It would be my pleasure to share and transfer all the knowledge I learnt from you to my colleagues at our wonderful club.
Congratulations Michael πππyouβre officially a Fella. It was good to meet some new members today, who drove very well considering the level of drive.
Today I got the opportunity to learn a new skill – rescue. Thanks Marko for the vote of confidence and Salouh for the mentorship. I look forward to continuing this amazing journey.
