The first official DF wake surfing event this morning was absolutely amazing.

The temperature was perfect, hardly any wind and clear skies, making the water pristine. For almost the entire group this would be the first time to attempt this activity so there was some reservations on if we could even stand up on the board.

Luckily standing is not as difficult as driving in the dunes so whether it was beginners luck, skilled captain or good coaching we all managed to at least stand up on the first try.

Surfing the wake is not as easy but after a few attempts we all at least had a few minutes on the wave. Our coach for the day also did a few rounds to show the team how its supposed to be done, and we were having so much fun, didn’t even notice that our session was over when it was time to head back to sore.
