Dreem

A fantastic sunrise over Fossil Rock greeted us this morning for the Dreem drive.

It’s been a few months since entering this area and after the rains earlier this year the terain has changed alot. Many new grassy mounds and vegetation had us hunting for some smooth lines which were very scarce. Hence it took us a bit longer than usual to reach the bowls we were looking for, but once we did we where well warmed up.

A large convoy today ment we needed to stay tight as a convoy to make multiple passes on the bowls which was executed well by the team, and after our fist bite of bowls it was time to take a tea break and bask in the splendour of the rising sun over the mountains of Faya.

With the swewt taste from the karak still on our tongues we hit the dunes once more to find bigger bowls and look for some side slopes. Passing a few herds of grazing camles on our way and fixing a pop out in a very quick time, we reached a  “Dreem land” of slopes and bowls.

Here we spent some time having another short break before leaving fresh tracks on these long sweeping sands, while hitting the revs hard and making the sand fly.

As the drive drew to a close we just had to sneak in a few more cheeky bowls before reaching our exit as per shedule. Thanks all for a great drive, snack and to the support team keep the convoy moving smoothly al the way back to the asphalt. See you on the sand soon.
