Don’t do silly things :)
Over the last training cycles, we have seen a habit evolve. After basic training 4 concludes, the support team takes the opportunity to make a short run from the exit of BT4 to al Faya Dune. It’s a short ride, but it can be intense and a lot of fun, as we usually are not in this area.
Needless to say, today was no different, and we embarked on a short trip, off-roader style. The parting words given to us from Marko were “Don’t do anything silly”!
A short trip on the catch road leads us to a nice entry point, giving us directly the opportunity to try some climbs in this area. The view from a bit higher was impressive, with the clouds over the dunes leaving the landscape last a drawn picture.
Once back down crest after crest was waiting for us on the way to Camel Rock, around which we made some passes. The area around this landmark invited us to explore more around it before we made our way to Al Faya dune.
Once we arrived, we climbed this massive beast from all sides. Climbs, switches and big bowls all around were everything we could ask for. After a couple of rounds, we moved to the front side to try out the steep climb on the western side. While the intent was there, the approach was very bumpy, and the tracks were too chewed up that we decided to take an easier route up.
After a short break on the top of the dune, we took two more rounds on the big bowl and made the long eastern crest down the conclusion of our drive.
Thanks Martin for the trip and the chance to explore this area.

Al Faya Dune!!! Always an epic visit 💪
It was certainly epic! Great lead by Sven with the cars pushed to their limits. Sadly, Al Faya was chewed up and the amount of litter left lying around is shameful.
