Trip today was planned at 6:15 and at this point the sun was just beginning to rise, a great sign that the weather is turning in our favour.

All fellas were at meeting point on time but not ready, lets be prompt team and respect our other fellas/timing in future please! Before briefing we covered the new personalised feed back tool, so keep and eye on your inbox later this week.

Briefing done we set convoy order, Preggy 2nd lead, Salah, Rathica, Sid, Mahmoud, with CopperCon, Javier and Igor bringing up the back. After a radio check we got moving, convoy was flowing nicely and during warming up we had several second tries and one stuck while cresting. Our recovery team quickly sorted out the situation with good team work. We made our way to Pink rock and had some awesome long crests to play on. After a short break one of our members left early as passengers was feeling a bit ill, then made our way across the road of 2nd Dec cafe to touch new area for many of our convoy. Maneuvering in this technical area we practiced another recovery with Coppercon’s winch, almost loosing a bumper! Once repaired we started our way to the exit to make up time reaching with few minutes to spare and did a total of 38Km.

Convoy drove well today, lvl was a bit higher for some but all managed very well, everyone was very focused. Thank you all for the excellent company and the responsible driving, catch you on the next one.

The perfect way to start my Saturday, thank fellas for your great company😁🏜👍

  2. Loved the long Cresting @ChefMarc. Was excellent technical drive. My biggest learning is still not to stop on the crest🤣
Excellent lead. Second lead gave good information but needs to be louder. Thank you for the rescue Mike and Javier👍🏼

Thanks Rathica, we will do more of these and work on that, there is no shame in improving techniques .

  3. Chef Marc
It was yet another excellent drive. Good job Chef and the support.
Looks like Its just getting better every time. The flow and the momentum of the convoy was good. The communication still needs a bit of tweaking.
It was exciting to know that we will be exploring new areas.
Always enjoy the company of such nice people in the group.

    Thanks once again.

Thanks for joining us Mahmoud, and for the feedback, we’ll noticed on the coms, yes this is part of the game when members get challenged in new roles.

  5. It was a lovely morning. I had great company, excellent weather and amazing scenery. Thanks Marc, for the opportunity to second lead. My radio skills are rubbish at the best of times so you can only imagine what the toughest part of this drive was for me. No, it was not the long meandering crests (although I could brush up on my on handed cresting skills), not the soft sand….. it was pushing on the talk button and hoping that I was talking slow enough to be understood by everyone in the convoy. Point taken Rathica, I sound a lot louder in my head than I do in the real world. My homework for the next trip: speak loudly, speak slowly, keep in touch with the sweeper regularly even if it annoys the hell out of the rest of the convoy😁
    Have a great week.

Thanks for the review, and glad that you are writing your own reviews now🤣.

  6. It was a extraordinary lovely ride, which always are when Marc is leading. Few stucks, which were solved in no time, and few second tries, including me, which in my book is very successful drive. Looking forward to meet you all again in the sandland.

    Cheers

  7. Another awesome morning drive that was relaxed until the point i hit the sweet spot only to make matters worse by breaking the rear bumper clip. But i guess if i don’t break it i don’t realize the potential of my rigs limitation. Appreciate the tow and ties mike, the tape igor and the fix yasin. Weather was pleasantly cool with winter on the horizon. Always a pleasure riding with you marc and the gang.
