Desert Rising
It was so dark at the meeting point today that we had to use head lamps just to see each other.
The start of the drive was unexpectedly delayed due to a valve cap that was stuck solid. After much fiddling around with no success the entire tire was replaced so that we could get the show on the road.
Starting the drive so early meant that we got to catch a beautiful sunrise over Al Qudra, as we went speeding through the desert. The area where the drive started had low dunes with soft ridges which were perfect for a warm up. The convoy devoured this area and moved on to a more technical area without slowing down. It was amazing to see how far this group of Fellas have come in just a few months.
We then made our way to the Ab Initio where the convoy presented their safety equipment before moving on to some high cresting action. The drive ended a short distance from the Ab Initio point.
The trip was shorter than usual but there was no shortage of sheer driving pleasure.
Thanks to Michael (SW) and Hussam (SL) for their well coordinated and flawless support on this trip.

I enjoyed every minute spent during the trip, felt good team work and communication. Even the unlucky problem our fella had with the valves was a good wake up exercise to me after being stationary for quite a while 😂
