Cresting Mania
This team is becoming just amazing!!! Everyone was before time and spirit was high.
Intention was just to drive as usual but it was good learning day especially for our sweepers trainee’s. We did short safety briefing and driving plan introduction. We drove exactly per plan. First part was warm up on small technical dunes, than cresting in combination with slopes. After that we went to less known area, technical and full of grass and ditches which we will avoid next time. Last part before exit was high dunes.
As season is started desert is full of tracks which is making very bumpy drive. Some of team members had issues with suspension and they couldn’t complete some of the challenges. Trip dynamic was very good and in level with excellent communication.
After tree hours of driving we started to loose concentration which was reflected to convoy order, breaching some safety rules and it was right time to finish the trip. We finished this trip 15 minutes earlier and trough small debriefing we point out things which we would like to correct in a future.
And last but not least, we found the guy in the desert who needed our help. It was very good lesson for all of us. We will take notes and implement some details to improve our recovery training.

Apart from my small misjudgment in the beginning, i enjoyed todays 5 course drive. We started with salads doing some basic cresting, then had a lovely appetizer doing some high crests, main course was a bit tricky in a marshy area with soft sand and we concluded dessert with high dune climbing. Also there was soup in the end where most of us were trying to assist…but as they say “too many cooks, spoil the soup.”
