Bumps and Humps Drive – report
We started the morning a bit late because of a few late arrivals (pls. let’s all try to be always on time this is what makes us different and shows our mutual respect) with a short briefing about the details of the trip.
To our surprise, Marko informed us that we will start the trip in 2 Wheel Drive. He explained the purpose of this being to train us to drive in this mode so that we could handle the situation of a malfunction of the 4 wheel drive gear while being on the sand in the future. Also we learned that is shorted way to gain better feeling for our cars and how to control your car while sliding on different terrain.
So this is how we started, we got a few stucks off course, but here instructions were clear: if u get stuck, shift to 4Low, dig yourself out and continue. After this very enjoyable and fun training we all shifted to 4 wheel drive and continued what turned out to be a very technical drive with a lot of small dunes. I think we all got a lot to learn here, off course there were some stucks again but where mostly dealt with with directed self recoveries. There were parts of the ride where we all had to hit the gas and were driving at a speed north of 60kms per hour while still keeping the convoy order and the safe distance.
The trip went on fairly smoothly covering a total distance of 30 plus kilometers in just over two hours of fun desert driving.

One of the most interesting tracks i’ve been too, very technical and requires fast response and being alert all the time
