BOWLING DISCO

Share with your friends!

This morning was pleasantly cool, though a bit humid. The quiet was broken only by the sound of air hissing from our tires as we deflated them. With just two cars in our convoy, we set our sights on the seven famous bowls ahead. What a wonderful morning!

On the way to the bowls, we navigated some technical areas and practiced rope recovery techniques. As we approached the Hari Bowl, our cars flew over a series of beautiful crests, getting us warmed up and ready for the larger ones to come.

Before playing in the Raptor Bowl, we took a short break to watch the performance of some off-road bikers we met at the entrance. After that, the Raptor Bowl was ours to conquer. We explored this fantastic area from every angle, tackling adrenaline-pumping, extremely sharp switches and steep side slopes. On one particularly sharp switch, we practiced a self-recovery before continuing to discover the area and take in the amazing views from the high dune ridges.
We sliced through the Death Bowl with confidence and fun, completing many rounds. After passing through the Dora Bowl, we reached the G Bowl and decided to take a coffee break at the bottom near a steep dune face, enjoying the cool shade provided by the tall sand.
Following our break, we practiced steep side sloping numerous times until we were completely satisfied. Only then did we begin our journey toward the exit.
Three hours and 75 km later, we were left with great memories, a healthy dose of adrenaline, and a fantastic feeling of accomplishment. We are completely recharged and ready for the work week ahead, and of course, already anticipating the next off-road adventure.
A special thanks to Harun for his professional recovery work in the role of sweeper and for acting as second lead at the same time. It was a great pleasure driving with you, and I look forward to seeing you on the sand again soon!
