Basic training lesson 5
With the rainstorms behind us and the sand dunes firm under our tyres, it was time to move one step closer to completing basic training with this latest generation of explorers.
The morning was almost bitterly cold, 12°C with a wind chill that pushed temperatures into single digits. A rare moment in the Arabian Desert, and a welcome change from the intense heat of summer.
Starting out at Nazwa Farms, Lesson 5 began with an easy warm-up before quickly building into a proper drive. Searching for climbs and bowls, we brought together all the elements from previous lessons, and our trainees were performing exceptionally well.
Apart from a few well-earned tea breaks along the way, we made fast progress and headed toward the Big Red area in no time. There, we wrapped up with teamwork exercises, followed by a few exhilarating bowl climbs, finishing slightly ahead of schedule.
Amazing progress today, team. We’re looking forward to concluding the program with you and taking on even bigger slopes very soon.
