Basic training lesson 5
Saturday morning marked the fifth lesson of our basic off-road training course and this is where things really started to heat up literally and figuratively!
With temperatures pushing close to a blistering 50°C, our crew had to put all their hard earned theory into action to conquer the day’s challenges before the desert turned into a furnace. Wasting no time, we roared into the stunning red dunes of Nazwa.
After a quick warm up, we were thrown straight into the deep end with some serious bowl driving. Our trainees had to dig deep and show discipline as the terrain turned tricky. Midway through, our ever ready sweeper Pavel sprang into action to fix a tire pop-out, keeping us on track toward our big goal, Big Red.
With adrenaline pumping hill climbs, sweeping bowls, and a few signature recovery moments, we finally reached the highlight of the day. Big Red didn’t disappoint! We wrapped up with some epic team exercises and synchronized driving, before finishing off with a few giant bowl runs near the exit just in time to inflate and head home.
It was an excellent morning, and the team’s skills are truly coming together, perfect prep for next weekend’s drive and graduation!
Massive thanks to everyone, especially our hardworking sweepers Pavel and Anders, and a shoutout to Ryan for his awesome support. See you all at Lesson 6!
