Basic training lesson 3 & 4
An Epic Weekend in the Dunes: Trainees Level Up!
This weekend was a big one for our Basic Training crew, as they tackled two of the most demanding lessons back to back!
Lessons 3 and 4 aren’t just another couple of checkpoints; they’re the foundation of the entire program. These sessions are packed with critical skills, and when the group decided to condense the 6-week plan to finish before the Eid holidays, we knew it would be ambitious, intense and a lot of fun.
We kicked things off with Lesson 3: a deep dive into theory followed by a long drive. Usually, this combo leaves everyone mentally and physically wiped. But not this group! They crushed every objective with focus and determination and still had enough energy left to show up strong for the afternoon session.
The second half of the day started at the base of a massive dune in Al Madam, setting the stage for a wild adventure into bowl driving. It was time to push boundaries. And push they did! Every trainee brought grit, drive, and serious courage as they took on big climbs and intimidating bowls. They’re now well prepped for the challenges ahead.
It was a monumental day, not just for the trainees but for our trainers too. From conquering epic dunes to mastering vital skills, the team kept their spirits high and their vehicles moving. Even with one bent spindle (shoutout to the member who made a safe exit and is already prepping for the next lesson!), everyone wrapped up the day safe, smiling, and a whole lot more skilled.
Huge shoutout to Anders and Adam for stellar support on sweeper duty and keeping the convoy in check. Can’t wait to see you all back on the slopes soon, revved up and ready for more!
