After a gruelling 6 weeks it was finally time to put our trainees to the test on Basic Training lesson 6 drive.

The morning consisted of the normal setup procedure but with a thorough check of safety to gear to make sure everyone was living the standard safety equipment ethos.

This drive was a pure Jr level and warm up took a bit longer, revisiting straight cresting needed a few second tries and self recoveries plus a few tire pressure ajustments early on, got us all settled for some smoorh driving the next few hours.

The tracks were fewer this morning making for some silky lines in the Nizwa desert. Approaching Chef’s bowl the convoy spend some time in the bowls flowing through them effortlessly and with good diciplines.

The next part of the drive had some tests with the team and after a quick assessments it was clear they were ready to pick up the challanges during the last hour.

Big hill climbs and tight bowls were on the menu and these new Jr’s devoured them all like a giant feast. Climbing higher and higher we managed to leave fresh tracks at the top of Pink Rock while making our way to the exit. The last few tight turns we had a pop out but was quickly sorted out by the suport team before exiting a few minutes behind shedule.

Congratulations Basic trainees, you now have earned you flags, fly them high and make us proud.  Welcome to Jr level and we look forward to more drive with you.
Big thank you to our supporting team for keeping us safe all the way to the exit
