Basic training 5
The last bit of the cooler winter weather was a pleasant supprise as the Basic Training lesson 5 atendees deflated at sunrise.
Lesson 5 is when the fun driving really starts with some intense exercises on diciplines and teamwork brings most of the elements together to resemble the first bite of what a jr level drive will feel like in the future.
Starting the day with a warm-up in the beautiful shadows of the dunes near Big Red our team where starting to flow as one convoy, snaking though smooth lines and bumpy tracks and after a quick tea break we were all warmed up ready to trun up the challange meter approaching Big Red.
Facing the large climbing face of this dune would of been very daunting only a few weeks ago but with the training that stared 5 weeks back our trainees had new confidance to smash Big Red.
With some last lessons on big dune climbs and convoy diciplines they were ready to start some climbs and bowl surfing. Everything came together the last 30 min of the drive and they absolutely destroyed every dune, bowl and challenge handed to them.
Finishing exactly on time as scheduled there was a great sence of pride and accomplished. Now with new skills in the tool box we are ready to tackle lesson 6 in style.
Big thank you to.our supporting team for keep out convoy safe. See you all on the slopes next week

Well done team! A pop out early on in the drive didn’t deter these fellas to regroup and crack on at full steam to the challenges that awaited them at big red.
With the area busy with tourists and other convoys, the drivers had to implement disciplines learnt on previous drives which was great to see.
Looking forward to BT6 and the new highs that await!
