With a fresh brew in hand and some warmer apparel, Fellas and Felicitas were having some friendly banter before Basic Training 5 drive.

A slightly late start for the briefing this morning because of one Fella who had a slight delay coming straight from the airport after a hiking trip in the Himalayas. We didn’t mind waiting a few minutes as we knew the tales he had to tell would be worth the wait.

Objective of the day was to catch a few member up who missed last week’s drive, practice diciplines, build situational awareness and create strong team work and bonds. We also had a few old member join us today after a while away to shake off a bit of rust.

The drive it self took a bit of time to warm up and only had few parts on the way to Big Red of river like flow. Many second tries, some stucks and even a pop out today made progress slow but did give our sweeper trainee time to practice.

Once the convoy reached the large red giant, all had warmed up and were ready to tackle the big slopes with confidence. One by one they climbed higher and higher with each pass as confidence, skill and control of their vehicles grew.

At the end of the drive we achieved the day’s goals! With high spirits and a sense of achievement we all bid fairwell till next week.
